About Us

WebConnect Consulting exists to strengthen small, locally-owned businesses, to enable them to compete and to prevail against their larger brethren. We do this through the use of open technologies: FLOSS (free / libre and open source software), open standards, and open processes. We will judiciously work for the same kind of openness in government as well. We will promote smaller businesses as the primary solution to America's economic woes.

We are still in the process of forming (not ready for customers yet), but we encourage you to read our blogs.

  • Working@WebConnect Consulting: This is our flagship blog, the voice of the company, or more accurately, the voice of the owner and founder. Expect some politics, a lot of business, and a little technical stuff here. Also, some coverage of the Victor Valley.
  • Owner-Managed Business: This is our business and general blog. Again, it is the voice of the owner and founder speaking on business, politics, and other issues. Primary focus is owner-managed businesses (OMBs), small, locally-owned businesses (SLOBs), minority-owned businesses (MOBs), and why they are better for the local economy than large, out-of-area corporations (LOOACs).
  • Free and Open Technologies: This is our technical blog. It does share its target area with the owner and founder's personal blogs
    1. OpenTech,
    2. the Open Source REXX Blog,
    3. Opportunity Knocks, and
    4. LAMPJR
  • Christians in Business: This blog explores some of the issues related to living for Christ in a world that is in rebellion against God. It combines devotionals, practical tips, Bible studies, and even some social & political discussions.
  • La Voz de la Revoluccion: This blog serves as a rallying cry. We want people to know that OPEN WINS.
